Thanks Giving at KarenHands Ministry

As the last remnants of autumn faded into winter, Thanksgiving 2024 became a cherished memory for all of us at KarenHands Ministry. This year’s celebration was not only a feast for the body but also a heartfelt gathering for the soul—a reminder of what can be achieved when a community comes together in gratitude and generosity. Thanksgiving Day at KarenHands Ministry was bustling with activity, warmth, and joy. Volunteers and staff worked tirelessly to transform our vision into reality, ensuring that no one in our community felt forgotten during this special time.

•  A Feast Shared with Love: Hundreds of hot meals were prepared and served, featuring Thanksgiving favorites like turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, and pies. Each plate was a symbol of love, made possible by the dedication of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
•  Care Packages for the Winter Months: Alongside the meals, we distributed care packages filled with warm clothing, shoes, and personal care items. These essentials brought comfort and hope to individuals and families as they prepared for the colder season ahead.
•  Moments of Connection: One of the most moving parts of the day was the sense of togetherness. People shared their stories, enjoyed music, and connected with others in ways that reminded us all of the power of community.

Thanksgiving 2024 was a success thanks to the incredible support of our donors, volunteers, and community members. From financial contributions to hands-on assistance, each act of kindness played a crucial role in making this event a reality. Karen Shannon Neal, founder of KarenHands Ministry, expressed her heartfelt thanks, saying, “This event was a beautiful testament to what we can achieve when we come together. We are so grateful for everyone who gave their time, resources, and love to make this day unforgettable.” This Thanksgiving also served as a reminder of KarenHands Ministry’s ongoing mission and the dream of owning a 7-story building dedicated to serving those in need. Each plate of food served and every connection made brought us one step closer to fulfilling this vision.
